Founded by leather smiths Richard Stark and John Bowman alongside master jeweler Leonard Kamhout, the company's first job was styling a film originally dubbed "Chrome Hearts”. The film ended up changing names to “Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town” leaving the now iconic name free for the taking. Shortly after, the three founders went separate ways. Stark later connected with Laurie Lynn, a passionate customer known for ordering leather bathing suits. He then married her and eventually made her a brand partner.
Born from biker culture, the brand became synonymous with rock - attracting clientele such as Guns n' Roses, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, and Elton John. Slowly, the brand began to attract customers from all areas and subcultures. Chrome Hearts' tongue-in-cheek attitude has spread across the globe and has quickly become one of the most sought out lifestyle brands to exist.
