Temporarily available inside of Fred’s Downtown, the signature restaurant inside now-extinct retailer Barney’s, this $28 burger could possibly be the cheapest thing Rick Owens has ever designed. A brioche bun branded with Rick Owens' signature logo and local non-GMO beef topped with local non-GMO havarti cheese, caramelized onions, and garlic mayo was served alongside a bundle of thick-cut fries, both wrapped in fennel-flavored licorice ribbon.
The burger was purportedly incredible, on par with the quality of the designer’s clothing. It’s only appropriate for a man who has claimed to eat a cheeseburger every day for years.
The burger was served for two months in the summer of 2018. Would you pay $28 for a Rick cheeseburger?
