In memoriam of Issey Miyake

In memoriam of Issey Miyake

The legendary designer, who has passed away of cancer, was universally celebrated for his iconic wrinkle-free “pleats” designs. Miyake’s influence can be seen on Steve Jobs (with his custom-made Miyake turtlenecks), Robin Williams (with his voluminous cargo bomber), and many more.

The pioneer changed the landscape of Japanese fashion in the 1980s with his various clothing lines that have been exhibited in museums around the world. His legacy will be forever celebrated and his evolving designs will be sorely missed.
