In recent years, Rick Owens has redefined the down jacket, a wintertime staple that is simplistic in nature. Fortunately for us, Owens is not a simple man. This initial exploration began in 2017 with the release of his collection 'Glitter.’ Since then, Owens has released an array of down jackets, each variation entirely different from the last.
For the release of his 2020 Fall Winter collection ‘Performa,’ Owens revisited the idea. Inspired by the prowess of Gary Numan, Owens sought to create a collection that captured his sense of alien coldness and avant-garde influence. In doing so, he would make the Jumbo IES Down Jacket. The jacket features a front zip fastening, a stand collar, long sleeves, and four zipped pockets with silver hardware to complete the look.
